Intro
Finding the Right Host..
Well well.. looking for some tips on starting a website are you? First, you must have some sort of good
experience with graphics and HTML. A good place to learn your basic HTML is at pixelfx.org. [Even if you use
MS PAINT] As a starting host for your website I would recommend neopets.. then if you would like to get more serious
start with a freewebs.
You would want a host that doesn't have too many pop-ups and advertising. Freewebs is highly recommended by me.
Neopets is good as well.
Your Layout
The First Impression
You want your layout to be excellently made. It would be the first impression that a visitor would think of your
artwork. Sometimes if the layouts are to crappy people just leave your site--not even bothering to look at all the content!
Add some brushes, keep the layout bright and exciting.
Content
Keep Updating!
For the visitors keep updating with more and more graphics such as; blends, layouts, uncoded layouts, any myspace
and facebook layout etc. Keep the site updated!!! A good idea is to have something such as HALOSCAN or CUTENEWS [if you
are hosted] so visitors can comment on your site. A great technique to find out what your visitors want to see more of in
your site. A good way to improve.
Programs
Which One??
MS PAINT: OK for basic graphics making. DO NOT BLEND IN MS PAINT because it always comes
out fake-ish looking.
Photoshop: Perfect to use for your site, complete sucessful graphics such as your; blends,
layouts, banners etc.
The Print Shop: Almost as good as Photoshop, can do about everything you need for your
site.
Animation Shop: Use this to edit your images. Animate them and make transparent.
Paintshop Pro: Just as good as Photoshop!! xD Less expensive. A bit better than
the Print Shop.
Affiliates
The Loved Ones
Makesure you have affies. They can support you and help get you more hits. Also, be sure to become friends with
them as well, and always keep in contact whenever you can--over IM, e-mails or comments.
You

Always add a page, or at least a little about yourself on your website--just so people know who their dealing with.
Some pictures won't hurt either. What you want to add to your site is your choice, just makesure visitors are going to be
interested in it! Hope I helped to all that were stuck.
